Birra dell’Eremo began in 2012 with Enrico and Geltrude’s enthusiasm. Theirs is a story of passion, experimentation and a close-knit team which carved out a place for itself in the world of craft beer.
The recipe is a special one: after agriculture studies Enrico decided to turn his know-how into a quality product. By his side Geltrude was the brewery’s entrepreneurial driving force, an expert in marketing. Their determination, and the support of their families, did the rest.
What was a workshop at the outset is now a structured brewery with a staff of seven, lots of awards in pride of place and the same courageous spirit as the early years.
The brewery is the heart of a project in which Enrico and Geltrude decided to invest their passion and talent in making a craft beer which tastes good and is top quality.
Behind every label is a style choice generated by research and experimentation. A selection of the best raw materials and yeasts and the right fermentation.
This is the secret of a brewery whose production has shot up from 3000 litres per year to today’s over 40,000 litres per month. And in between there is experimentation, spices, fermentation and the 8 types of beer which were the heart of our production and are still today the firm’s trademark.
Producing a craft beer means seeking out two things: the right raw materials and the right fermentation. Secret ingredient: passion.
